Following the update to our new mail platform we are aware of an issue with attempts to connect to port 587 using insecure connections failing. To ensure that you are able to connect please check to make sure you are using the following for the outgoing/SMTP settings:

Outgoing Mail Server: mta.extendcp.co.uk
Outgoing Mail Server Port: 587
Outgoing Mail Server SSL: STARTTLS
Outgoing Authentication Type: Password

For connections when sending TLS 1.2 will be required in order to make a secure connection to the server. For some legacy email clients this may not be possible due to the version of TLS that they use. In this case, an update of the email software would be needed or, in the short-term, you will be able to use email through our webmail platform at https://outitgoes.com

Impacted email clients include:

Microsoft Outlook Pre 2016
Microsoft Outlook Express
Windows Live Mail
Mac Mail Pre 2013

Users still operating with Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 will also be impacted.

We recommend a newer version of Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird as a replacement in these cases.

If you are having any issues, please drop our support team a ticket and they will be able to advise further.
